Smart Flush Leak Detection

The FLO NoMo is a unique solution that combines innovative design with advanced technology to detect and minimize leaks prior to repair. Stop undetected toilet leaks that waste water and increase your monthly utility bill. The FLO NoMo offers a simple, effective solution for identifying toilet leaks, minimizing water loss and saving money.

Leak Detection + LED Indicator + Notification

The FLO NoMo is designed to alert users when a leak is detected with a red LED indicator light. It then sends a notification that a leak has been detected and a repair is required.

Operation

If a leak occurs between flushes, the FLO NoMo will stop the flow of water and signal that a leak is detected. Each time the toilet is flushed, the device is reset and will re-activate if a leak is still present. When the leak is repaired, the sensor will only activate when another leak occurs.

When a leak occurs between flushes, FLO NoMo’s hydro generator detects the leak and closes the ball valve until the toilet is flushed again. This cycle is repeated until the toilet leak is repaired. Each time the hydro generator is activated it creates its own energy. This helps to extend the life of the lithium ion rechargeable battery.

Other Devices Only Detect Leaks

Unlike other devices, the FLO NoMo will only operate when the toilet is flushed. If a leak is detected, it will stop the flow of water until the toilet is flushed again or the leak is repaired. This prevents water loss due to leaks and avoids potential overflows. The FLO NoMo does not rely on a motion sensor to activate when a person approaches the area. This not only saves energy but also extends the life of the device.

Avoid Costly Insurance Claims

Overflowing toilets from clogs and water leaks are the leading cause of water damage claims.  Water from an overflowing toilet will destroy drywall, carpet, subfloors and baseboards, and create a rich environment for mold to grow. The FLO NoMo is designed to stop water flow from clogs and leaks even when the toilet is unoccupied.

Quick Installation

The FLO NoMo quickly installs to the toilet’s main water supply line in under 5 minutes. Simply shut off the water supply, flush the toilet, then replace with the new provided supply line and attach the FLO device. Remove the tank lid and attach the lever sensor and communication lead. The lead runs direct to FLO device behind the back of the toilet tank out of sight. Flush the toilet and the FLO NoMo device is ready for immediate use. If a leak is detected, the red indicator light will illuminate. The indicator light will remain on until the leak is repaired.

What Causes a Toilet Leak?
  • The flapper becomes warped or damaged and does not provide a watertight seal on the flush valve. In-tank toilet cleaners can cause flapper damage.

  • The flapper, trip lever or chain may lose its alignment with the flush valve, leaving a gap that can cause a leak.

  • The flush valve can develop small cuts or other damage that causes a leak between it and the flapper. This is usually caused by grit or sediment.

  • The fill valve can become stuck in an open position causing water waste as it flows down the overflow tube. This can happen when your water pressure changes in your home.

Overnight Toilet Leaks

Toilet leaks are often intermittent and hard to detect. If you have a toilet that uses a common float ball style fill valve, increased water pressure that occurs overnight in your building or neighborhood can cause the float ball to open and remain open until the pressure decreases. This can cause a toilet to leak overnight while you’re sleeping.

Toilet Leaks While Away

In many instances, buildings will continue to use water when unoccupied. This is typically due to toilet leaks.  If you are going on vacation for a week or more, it is recommended you turn off the water to each toilet prior to leaving.

Toilet Cleaners

Chemicals and chlorine from in-tank toilet cleaners can degrade rubber flappers and other components in the toilet tank. Without flushing, the chlorine content of the tank water increases and is more likely to wear away toilet flappers and other parts in the tank. In many cases, this will void the product warranty and insurance companies will not cover damages caused by gradual degradation from chemicals.
